Fryslân

Bench with mosaics "Fryslân". A bench with colourful "Friesian" mosaics for a private client in Friesland, The Netherlands.

In June 2020, Artista was asked to cover a concrete bench with colourful mosaics. The theme had to be "Friesland" one of the northern provinces of the Netherlands.
The bench has pictures of sailing boats, traditional boats named "skûtsjes", Friesian cows and Friesian horses, geese, a typical mound village, and the local sport "fierljeppen", a kind of pole vault.

It took about three months before the bench was ready and on the 16th of October 2020 it was placed at its final destination in Friesland, The Netherlands.
