School project, hopscotch of glass mosaic for primary school Het Baken in Harderwijk, Holland
End of May 2015, Artista, together with 8th grade students of primary school Het Baken in Harderwijk, started an art project as a farewell gift from the 8th grade group to the school.
After some brainstorming, it was decided to create a colourful hopscotch of glass mosaic for the school yard. The children have jointly designed 10 paving stones and decorated them accordingly with glass mosaic. When it was finally finished, a special protective coating was applied and the tiles were inlaid in the schoolyard. The children enthousiastically worked on this project and we hope that all children, who remain for a while at Het Baken, will enjoy the hopscotch in the coming years.
On the 8th of July 2015, the hopscotch was festively unveiled.
